Blythe Intake, c. 290 ft. Colorado River.
----------
Drift does not go very far at a time in a river that is not rising. Our seats went off when the boat sank at Parker but we recovered two of them about 100 yards below! This rise has unloosened and set free many a log jam and the river is running full of driftwood. The next morning the river was going down, having risen about 18 inches! Cf. F.B. 29:99.
- Tessaria borealis, Arrowweed. Rennie says this is evergreen and that it sprouts up when cut down.
