No. 5183. Lycium andersonii Gray. Leaves thick (or bulbous) fleshy, full of water, & greenish watery when smashed. Intricately branched, the branches with series of spines;
1 1/2 to 2 or 3 ft. h.

No. 5184. Oenothera trichocalyx Nutt. Proliferous branches from base eventually curving over central primary spike, their tips approximating and forming a sort of hanging basket effect. Rich sandy slope, 2300 ft.
