No. 5285. Argythamnia serrata Mull-Arg. acc. SBP. [= Ditaxis serrata Heller] Ascending stems. [symbol for male] Fl.: Corolla of 5 distinct ovate shortly pointed thin whitish petals. Sepals 5, distinct, hairy, a little shorter than pets. Stamens in a column, a circle of 5 anthers on short free fils. immediately above a like circle of 5 anthers below. A circle of short sterile truncate filaments or glands alternate with petals. [symbol for female] Fl.: -- Perianth parts same as in [symbol for male] fl. Ovary 3-lobed; styles 3, each deeply 2-cleft. Sepals accrescent!
