No. 4776 Salazaria mexicana
Nutlets whitish at this state, pappilate-tessalate. Shrub 3-4 ft. high. Main stems of the shrubs simple below, intricately branched above, many stems from bare and forming a clumpy bush.
No. 4777. Franseria dumo. Gray ex Torr.
Low bush 1 foot to 18 inches high.

No. 4778. Eriogonum inflatum var. inflatum. Stems inflated. Outer per. [perianth] segments lanceolata, inner triangular-lanceolate, all hairy on back. The outer with ciliate tips as seen from above, the inner not. Stamens 9. Dish about base of ovary. Flowers pale yellowish. Annual.

No. 4779. Lycium pallidum Miers
Berry dull whitish. Low thorny bush 20 inches high. Leaves large.

No. 4780. Lycium andersonii Gray.
Leaves very small. Cf. preced. Berry red.

No. 4781. Echinocactus polycephalus Engelm. & Bigel
One individual cactus oval, 9 inches high, many cacti in a close cluster 18 inches high. Spines in a circle 7 with one always in center making 8, sometimes with 1 or 2 extra beyond the circle but on the cushion. Top of the cactus filled in with a wooly cushion.
