Shrubs on Talus, Upper Kern Canyon_

- Arctostaphylos patula. This forms the greater part of the covering. It spots the talus with low dark green spots with the white granite as a ground.

- Ceanothus velutinus Dougl. This plays a minor part? It is not rare, [Pronziza?]

- Castanopsis sempervirens. Plays a minor part at this alt [altitude].

- Ceanothus pinetorum Cov. Prostrate or [Procumbent], 1 ft. [foot] h [high]. Minor part at this alt [altitude].

- Prunus emarginatus [=Prunus emarginata], a little here.
