- I might as suggested talk to you about the forests of the Sierra Nevada. It is a great and important subject and it would be possible doubtless to tell you something about it that would be both interesting and instructive. But this would be mere information. It seems to me it would be better to tell you the means by which you may recognize for yourself the various kinds of forest trees and so observe and study them for yourself.
