No. 4406. Triteleia ixioides Greene
Thin soil on glaciated granite (granite sand). Anthers at first indigo-blue; those opposite inner per[ianth]. segments on broad emarginate staminodia. Segments with a dark purple or brown stripe on back, the stripe running down perianth tube and half as broad. On upper side segments the stripe is narrower than on lower side and disappears half-way to apex. Sometimes the anthers are white. Anthers opposite outer perianth segments on very short staminodia similar to large ones. Outer per[ianth] segments narrow-

oblong, acutish, the slightly enlarged tip with a covering of very short white hairs; inner per[ianth] segments obovatish, obtuse, the short hairy knob of the outer segments obscurely repeated at the apex. These facts regarding the tips of the segments are scarcely to be noticed without a lens.
