Sepals (calyx-lobes) conspicuous. Fls. [Flowers] reddish-brown. Petals dull crimson, flabellate[.] Leaves glandular sticky.

Half-way up McClure Fork[.] Stamens 5, in sinuses of the 5-lobed disk.

-Montia triphylla with tuber, 3 leaves at base and variable number white petals.

No. 4429f. Penstemon menziesii var. davidsonii (Greene)
Cor. [Corolla] purple-blue. Lower lobes spreading (not recurved) outward; upper lobes erect or spreading a little backward. Folds on lower lip very hairy. - One cor. [corolla] with 5 regular lobes, hairy fold running down tube between each fold; 5 stamens all alike (no sterile stamen). Teratology note. Vogelsang Pass.
