Niles (Cal. Nursery Co.)

- Bot. 4. trip to Niles. Mr. Correo or Correa, one of the men, says:
Sequoia sembervirens trees made from cuttings will not sucker, or sucker so badly as seedlings.
Such trees are stockier.
Suckering is one of the difficulties in seedling trees.
Sequois gigantea will not set roots from cuttings.

- Cedrus atlantica and libani, the latter grows more slowly but we put in
a stake and go by the label since individuals of the latter often grow a
s much as the former.
There is a glaucous form of dodara [which is very beautiful.]
