Now we don't think much of John Muir up here. We know him too well!
Years ago he and Hutchings had a sawmill in Yosemite Valley and cut off all the fine timber. Now he doesn't want anyone to touch a twig.
Then he ran off to San Francisco with Hutchings' wife. Deserted her there and left her without money.
If he had stayed by her we should have had more respect for him. No we don't do a [cent on Muir]
