1_59 Salt Lake, Aug. 28-29, 1896. to botany, Jones is about 5 ft. 6 in., full beard, blue eye, and has a voice which is somewhat peculiar -- but not decidedly peculiar. He had not a good word for anyone from Robinson to Greene -- although he did not speak unkindly of the Brandegees. B.L. Robinson told me that Jones was formerly a Presbyterian clergyman. He looked it -- that is I mean something like a poor type of minister. - August 30. - Tennessee Pass. - August 31. - Denver - Sept. 2. - St. Louis.
