Stachys bullata Bth.
When Professor Greene returned from Kew he said: "Stachys bullata Bth. has not been collected since it was first obtained by the people of Beechey's Voyage. It has a very dense spike and its leaves are very bullate-rugose. The plant about Berkeley which we have been calling Stachys bullata is Stachys californica Bth." -- Spoken to W.L. Jepson by Professor E.L. Greene in 1894.
