1_132 Berkeley, - Sept. 9. Trip to Alvarado to collect marsh plants. - Went to the Academy. Miss Eastwood put in a frame (the frame she posessed previously) a picture of Dr. A. Kellogg. This was the Zoe picture which shows more margin on one side than on the other. Of course this irregularity showed in her amateur framing and she remarked it to Dr. Behr. Should she change it? "No" said Dr. Behr, Kellogg was of such irregular habits"! Said Dr. Behr to me -- "Nasturtiums in Europe are fertilized by certain insects peculiar to Cruciferae. But in California |
