18_35 Sherwood, Aug 12, 1907. coast north and south. The eye sweeps 600,000 acres of Redwood and Douglas Fir timber, the most vast body of timber anywhere in the world to be seen from a single point. Southward ridge after ridge blue with timber fills the basins of the Noyo and Navarro rivers and extends eastward to the summits of the Coast Range.
