-Brodiaea capitata has many forms but they are of no importance especially It has no wet land form so far as I know -- C.P.
- Brodiaea grandiflora, is a variable species but only in the form of the staminodia. Some of these forms have been described: B. minor, terrestris, stellaris, Orcutti, filifolia, etc, etc. I dread the time when someone finds out about these variations and they become greenified -- C.P.

No. 3037 Eunanus. Dry torrent bed. Fls. sometimes beginning at ground. Corolla crimson, purple throat, white band on lower side, middle, purple dotted.

- Carduus venustus, I see a humming bird sucking its flowers.

No. 3037B. Mimulus [Lined out]
No. 3038 Mimulus. Mimetanthe pilosa (Benth.) Greene. Det. A.L.G. Corolla yellow, 2 small but distinct purple dots, at intervals between lobes of lower lip, one at each interval.
