The shades were so marked and set against each other so sharply: dark green, light green (new leaf growth), gray (old frosted leaf growth), light yellow (flowers), pink (tinted young leaves), lavender (tinted young leaves). Miss Laura McDermott has received definite and also confirmatory information that this species is called "Kisses" at Vacaville.
Castilleia she says is called Indian Pink in Nevada, the yellow one called "Bread & Butter". They also have a flower called "Soda Crackers"
