- Solanum umbelliferum -- teratology -- corolla, deeply cleft so as to be nearly choripetalous, this condition is not regular even in one flower. Material brought from Tamalpais by F.H. Bolster. I have no material preserved.

- Vicia gigantea. Corolla becoming sordid after anthesis, the calyx still bright red. How is this cross-pollinated? Or is it self-pollinated?
No. 3000. Phacelia distans Bth. Telegraph Canon at Old Rock Quarry, on shale. Notice narrow but distinct disk under base [?] corolla tube!
- Brodiaea capitata. Bot. 4 class gives following folk names: "Nigger-toes", Visalia, (Rice). "Nigger-babies", Berkeley (Miss McDermott). "Sugar Lump", Sonoma (Miss Griffiths). "Indian Lily", Berkeley (Miss Hibbard). "Wild Onion", Newbury Park (Russell).
