Throat with 2 mound-like gibbosities on lower lip at origin. One at each interval, the lobes also with a central hairy patch at their base. ride, the hairs except at tip retro [?] the lower 3/4 of style with short spreading hairs. Filaments glabrous except upper pair which are hairy at base, upper pair of filaments thickened and yellowish at base. In chaparral.
-Fire-killed hill, sprouts=Quercus.
No. 2698; Q. Douglasii and lobata when young; Q. wislizenii.
No. 2704. Peucedanum dasycarpum T & G var. decorum J. Branches reclining on ground at first, white fl. [flowers], then becoming erect and lilac-purple, then fruiting. Or are the branches unisexual?
No. 2705. Quercus chrysolepis, forma pendula Jepson. Bed of San Benito River. leaves remarkably narrow.
