Monotropa uniflora. cf. p. 146b ante and p. 172 ante. There does not appear to be any definite locality on record in the literature for California. Piper (Fl. Wash.), Rydberg (Fl. Rocky Mts.), Britton (Ill. Flora) say "California"; perhaps Piper and Rydberg copied from Britton. In my Manual I say "Del Norte Co." On what this was based I cannot now say. -May 13, 1936.
