- E. P. Sheldon has been quite active here botanically in the sense of being a botanical promoter. He has worked up an Oregon Academy of Sciences of which he is President; he is the Director of the Natural History Museum in the City Hall and has been making attempts towards a philosophical arrangement of the material; he collects when he has a chance and stores the stuff away, having now about 10,000 sheets mostly Oregon.
