15_76 Pisa, Italy material is better housed. He has a great lot of liquid material in good jars, especially rich in Java material which he has himself collected. He has written a paper on Java phalloidea, showing me a peculiar species with a free lace-ike veil about the stipe. A cucurbitaceous gourd, oblong-globose, about the size of the hat, had dehisced so as to be open on the whole top, showing the seeds which were flat with very broad white-membranaceous wings, very suggestive of Bignoniaceae.
