15_24 Kew Herbarium merchandise a quantity of the seeds of conifera of this country. I am well acquainted the localities of every desirable variety, and the season for collecting the fruit and can obtain them in any desirable quantity and would make it my business to do so were I to receive sufficient encouragement. I would state that every one of the specimens as per enclosed memorandum I have collected myself. 15_25 Nov. 8, 1905. the list of coniferous seeds (19 sp.) are labeled North California (doubtless collected on the trip with Murray to Shasta) and South California, i.e. middle coast region. ---------- = Hooker, Sir William Jackson, elected an Honorary Member of the California Academy of Natural Sciences May 12, 1856. Notified Feb. 12, 1857 by Dr. W.O. Ayres. Cor. Secy. ---------- = A.F. Beardsley, writes to Hooker, 19th May, 1856, that he cannot well visit Vancouver Island; also that Mr. Bridges and Mr. Wm.
