merchandise a quantity of the seeds of conifera of this country. I am well acquainted the localities of every desirable variety, and the season for collecting the fruit and can obtain them in any desirable quantity and would make it my business to do so were I to receive sufficient encouragement. I would state that every one of the specimens as per enclosed memorandum I have collected myself.

the list of coniferous seeds (19 sp.) are labeled North California (doubtless collected on the trip with Murray to Shasta) and South California, i.e. middle coast region.
