15_150 Nurnberg On the St. Sebaldus side also is the Fraukirche with its ancient clock. At noon the seven electors come out and pass around in front of the seated figure of Charlemagne. The figures successively turn and face Charlemagne as they come in front of him, turn again and go on. Charlemagne shakes his kingly wand to each wand. The market place is in the square in front of the church, i.e., the vegetable market. Back of the church is the fruit market and also the statue of the gooseman which perhaps has a popular favor like the manikin at Brussels.
