regular rows. They give a sense of great antiquity to the court. Still more the Aula Magna or state hall of the University. It is, too, covered with arms in the same way. Among others I noticed Tasso and Copernicus. A statue of Galileo who, like Copernicus, was a professor here stands on one side the hall. It has a touch of realism in that there is a wart on the left cheek. The fruit and flower market occupies one piazza near; the vegetable market another.
