Foliation of heads as in Grindelia and Monardella villosa. Variation in fruits of Thysanocarpus. T. elegans has an imperforate form (no. 3008, C. F. Baker, Lakeport to Hopland.) Variation in shape of leaves of Grindelia patens. Calycadenia cephalotes, weakly or stongly capitate terminally, with (usually) or without scattered axillary heads below.
