[Latitude] 41 degrees 30 feet." The plate represents a cone (closed), a winged seed, and a cluster of 3 needles. The cone and seed are singularly near to South Yallo Ballo material, mihi, 1897, the largest cone of the (my) collection. =No. 740. Pinus Murrayana. Oreg. Com. Leaves in pairs about 2 1/2 inches long, sheaths 2/10 inch long. Cones pendulous, between 2 and 2 1/2 inches long. 13_109 [Royal Botanical Garden] Edinburgh, Sept. 6, 1905 spine, the point of which is directed to the base of the cone. Seeds winged, 3/10 inch long. A tree 40 feet high, of a conical form, found on the Siskiyou Mountains, in Lat. 43 degrees 30 feet, at an elevation of 7500 feet. The plate shows the ovate type of cone (closed) which is rather long (?). The plates are not numbered. (For note as to Herb. spm.
