[The derivation of the epithet is not given; it might represent the genitive singular of "vestificus" (=of the tailor), but the reason is not apparent in the meager description or the figures (for instance, the cell does not look much like a thimble); in that case, "vestificii" would be an erroneous hypercorrection]
