[PCS note "Ruprecht begins with Lamouroux's Delesseria saccata 1813, for which Lamour. cited Fucus saccatus Mertens ined. Ruprecht examined a Mertens specimen from the Cape dated 1809, which could have been seen by Lamouroux, and drew up description, comparing plant with the northern Dumontia saccata. I think that Haloderma saccatum can be treated as monotypic genus."]
