Locality | Eight miles north of Oroville, near the western base of Table mountain. Collected near Santa Barbara. |
Habitat | In a young olive orchard. Very abundant, and one of the first plants to bloom in early spring, whitening the ground in places. Plants growing on sterile hills are barely an inch high. When plentiful in an orchard it may figure as a cover crop. The lower side of the pod is brownish, convex, the broad pedicels somewhat recurved. |
