Locality Verdugo Mountains Brand lateral trail behind the Brand Park Library, ridge west of Idlewood Canyon where Grandview Ave. and Mountain Street meet in city of Glendale. Following fire break up to main crest (to Beaudry fire road). West-facing side of ridge above reservoir.

HabitatGrayish look to plant. Heteromeles arbutifolia mixed in with it. This oak and L. Gross #306 have basically the same look, but the trichomes are shorter on this one, but both have the tear-drop shaped leaf.;
