Habitat | Gravelly bajada and gentle to steep rocky slopes of volcanic substrate (rhyolite, tuff), with isolated outcroppings of grayish limestone. Primarily open scrub of Larrea tridentata and Ambrosia dumosa, with diverse array of annuals (most past flowering) including Plantago ovata, Chaenactis carphoclinia, Chaenactis fremontii, Camissonia boothii, Chorizanthe brevicornu, Chorizanthe rigida, Lepidium lasiocarpum, Cryptanta maritima, Eriogonum trichopes, etc. |
