Locality Sierra Nevada; Southern Sierra Nevada region: Scodie Mountains: Kiavah Wilderness in the Sequoia National Forest. Head of Horse Canyon (road SC65) north just before the radio towers to McIver 4x4 trail (36E52). Collected near saddle at head of horse canyon, near Scodie Trail 36E04. You can pick up trail along the Pacific Crest trail and trail to yellow Jacket Spring from this saddle.
