Locality Cascade Range Foothills. Hog Lake Plateau. BLM parcel along Hwy. 36 NE of Red Bluff. On bank along Paynes Creek in the NE corner of the parcel.

HabitatBlue Oak Woodland, Tuscan mudflow substrate. Growing on a shaded bank in a strip of riparian woodland along [creek]. Typical S. californica grows nearby, and S. integrifolia is also common in grassland and open savanna on the plateau. [Full name on label is 'Saxifraga sp., intermediate between californica Greene and integrifolia Hook.']
