HabitatDominant trees: Pinus ponderosa, P. lambertiana, Pseudotsuga latifolia, Quercus kelloggii, Q. chrysolepis, Arbutus menziesii, occasionally Libocedrus decurrens. On dry slopes: Rhamnus, Arctostaphylos, Ceanothus, occasionally Castanopsis chrysophylla. Along streams or moist areas: Alnus rhombifolia, Acer macrophyllum, Cornus nuttallii, Corylus californica, occasionally Taxus brevifolia. Soil of granitic origin. Growing along edge of flume.
