Note: According to Newton (l.c.), Amansia arabica is an unpublished name assigned by J. Agardh to a specimen collected by W. Lunt during Theodore Bent's "Hadramaut'' Expedition, 1893–1894. The first set of seaweeds resulting from this expedition is housed in the Kew Herbarium (at BM).
