Note: This genus was established by Millar & Huisman (1996) to accommodate Delesseria crispatula Harvey, a species which Kylin (1924: 8) assigned to Branchioglossum while suggesting that it might better be placed in its own genus. Millar & Wynne (1992: 236–237) noted that the type specimen shows exogenous branching, a feature that is found elsewhere in the Delesseriaceae only in Caloglossa and Taenioma. Millar & Huisman (l.c.) established the tribe Dicroglosseae to receive their new genus.
