NotesExcluded from California moss list. This moss has not been subsequently re-discovered in California. We concur with Koch (1950a) that the original specimen was most likely a labeling error. We are inclined to dismiss this taxon as a component of the California moss flora. This record is based on a collection attributed from Los Angeles County near Pasadena, McClatchie 12 (EGB).
