  1. Stem ± leafless; leaf odd-2-ternate-pinnate, 1° leaflets 3, 1 terminal, 1 pair lateral; raceme few-flowered; fruit sickle-shaped, 1.5–2.5 cm

  1' Stem leafy; leaf generally even-2-pinnate, 1° leaflets 3–12 pairs; racemes many-flowered; fruit ± straight, 6–12 cm
 
    2. Petals > 2 cm; stamens red, strongly exserted; sepals all alike
