Welsh (Flora North America 4:351. 2002), in that Jones published only the basionym, Atriplex expansa var. mohavensis (Contr. W. Bot. 11:20. 1903); and that although Welsh had intended that the combination be made in an article he prepared for publication in Madroño (50:310; 13 Feb 2004), as stated in his Flora North America account (Flora North America 4:351. 2002), the combination was actually and inadvertently made earlier, with publication of his Flora North America account. [Therefore, author citation corrected to Atriplex argentea Nutt. var. mohavensis (M. E. Jones) S. L. Welsh, from Atriplex argentea Nutt. var. mohavensis M. E.
