(CDA, DAV): NOTES: A distinctive species among native and naturalized California clovers, readily distinguished by its chartaceous, inflated calyces having 25+ prominent longitudinal veins and similarly prominent lateral venation. Apparently an occasional component of clover-containing hydro-seed mixtures; Humboldt Co. and Santa Cruz Co. occurrences may have originated via this pathway.
