| Editorial Comments 1 | Correspondence 1 indicates: that the single collection in CCH of Ranunculus trilobus Desf. (Greer s.n., 2002) was determined by Ellen Dean at UCD to be Ranunculus trilobus (UCD20153), a determination accepted by the author of the genus for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2], Whittemore, who has not seen the material himself; that the collection was made from an agricultural field along Hwy 1, not Hwy 101 as indicated in CCH, and that the area has since then been converted to housing or light industrial; and that emails to the UCD herbarium staff indicate that the collection was made somewhere on the e side of Hwy 1, close to Seymour St., where there is now a car dealership. [Therefore, a Current Status of Jepson Flora Project-6 appears to be most appropriate at this time, although it is not certain that the plants, which evidently occupied and perhaps were naturalized in an abandoned agricultural field, will not appear elsewhere in CA.] | |||||
