Initial Editorial Comments in no way mentioned in Munz, Munz Supplement, The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1]; indicated only for California (voucher at CAS), LA in Kartesz & Meacham; naturalized in CA, not listed in The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1], according to Simpson & Rebman, 1996; according to Source c, persistence tenuous, yet conditions of cited occurrences evidently qualify for inclusion in the flora according to criteria employed by Jepson Flora Project (26 Feb 2003)
Correspondence and Comments Subsequent to Initial Analysis
Correspondence 1 27 Apr 2005 Interchange Feedback from David J. Keil see Comment 1
Editorial Comments 1 Correspondence 1 indicates that Amaryllis belladonna has been established as an escape in the San Luis Obispo area, both on roadsides and on disturbed grassland-coastal scrub hillsides, since before publication of The Jepson Manual [Ed. 1].
Correspondence 2 Treatment and author notes submitted for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] by Dale McNeal see Comment 2
Editorial Comments 2 Correspondence 2 confirms that for The Jepson Manual [Ed. 2] Amaryllis belladonna L. is to be treated as naturalized in CA.
