Payne Ranch (owned by BLM), lands to the SW of the intersection of State Routes 20 and 16. Central/Eastern part of ranch. Craig Canyon. Along unimproved road, just west of where road crosses Craig Creek.
Inner North Coast Ranges; Small colony on low slope in partial shade of Quercus douglasii on S side of Leesville Rd. approx. 3 m. N of Hwy 20, flowers light purplish to near white. Rather tall-to 3 ft., most individuals just beginning bloom.
North Coast Ranges; Scattered perennial on steep slope within chaparral above upper Little Stony Creek. Goat Mtn. Rd. ~ 1.5 km. W of of campground. Non-serpentine. Flowers blue, other plants nearby range to light blue and pinkish. Crown attachment firm.
