Cascade Range Foothills. Dales Lake Ecological Reserve. W side of Manton Rd. (A6) ca. 2 mi n of Dales Station on Hwy. 36, ca. 14 mi ne of Red Bluff. On the w side of the basalt ridge crossing the ne corner of the reserve.
About 1/4 mile north of an unnamed lake, along the Nomalaki Trail, about 1 mile by trail northwest of Dead Rabbit Lake, about 1 3/4 miles northwest of Bowers Creek, about 2 1/2 miles northwest of Forest Road 23N69 (Mud Flat Road), about 8 miles (air) southwest of Paskenta.
High Cascade Range. Slope above unnamed tributary from south into Deer Creek; 33 m above Road 27N08 (road from Hwy 32 across Deer Creek toward Onion Butte), 2.3 road km east of major hairpin turn where road starts dropping into the canyon. East-northeast facing steep area.
