Ecology: Alpine, subalpine summits, dry granitic gravel, talus fields, sagebrush scrub
Elevation: generally > 3000 m.
Bioregional distribution: c&s High Sierra Nevada, San Bernardino Mountains, White and Inyo Mountains.
