Perennial, robust, ill-scented; ± glabrous.
Stem: ± erect, 1–3.5 dm.
Leaf: 3.5–18 cm; leaflets 7–25, ± spaced, 2–27 mm, linear to ± round, hairs 0 or only on margins, midribs.
Inflorescence: flowers 4–22, ascending.
Flower: petals pink-purple or ± pale, banner 14–24 mm, recurved ± 40°, keel 11–19 mm.
Fruit: erect or ascending; body 12–40 mm, 7–13 mm wide, inflated, oblong- ellipsoid, ± round in ×-section, glabrous or minutely hairy, stiff-papery; stalk-like base 0 or 2–7 mm; chamber 1. [Online Interchange]
