Perennial, ± coarse, ± fleshy; hairs ± 0.
Stem: ± spreading, 2–25 cm.
Leaf: 4.5–11 cm; leaflets 11–23, 5–20 mm, obovate to ± round, tips obtuse or notched.
Inflorescence: flowers 10–25, early ascending, then reflexed or not.
Flower: petals red-purple, white- or pale-tipped, banner 12–15 mm, keel 9.5–10.6 mm.
Fruit: ± ascending to spreading; body ± oblong in side view, bladdery or not, glabrous; stalk-like base 5–12 mm, tapered to narrow base; chambers ± 2. [Online Interchange]
